I know I said this last time...

So yes I have been a crappy blogger... No excuses.. I am actually back in my hometown staying with mom and dad. The hubs is currently in some training so, instead of hanging out all by myself for two months I came back home. I can only entertain myself by rearranging furniture, watching tv, reading, cleaning, and laughing at myself for so long... Well that two months has passed (yes I said "has passed) and I am just know saying something about it. My amazing mom is taking me back on Wednesday. I am super excited about it because that means my love is coming home! We will actually be living at our place. Not at the parents house or in the barracks. It amazing how we take things for granted until we don't have them. For example.. The hubs is so excited about being able to go to his own refrigerator and get something to drink
(a dr. pepper 10) out of it. I'm a little nervous about going back considering the door hasn't been opened in a couple of months. I'm afraid of the dust that must be lurking all over. I already have our meals planned out because I miss cooking for him. I love to cook and he loves to eat. Perfect combo I must say! We both can't wait to sit on our couch, snuggle and watch some movies. Unfortunately beach season is over .. If it was still warm we would be at the beach lounging the day away.

I am already dreaming of next summer... The hubs will be home for good, something exciting will be happening and I will be in my new Lilly dress that my mom got me!

Currently on sale at Bloomingdales!

Well that's all I have for today.. Talk to you soon!

Lost running a marathon called Life...

I have been crazy busy these past few months (not a good excuse for not blogging but, that's all I got)... The hubs and I have been through a couple of crazy life bumps.. I just want to say my hubs is AMAZING! He is one of the strongest people I know. My mom is another strong one! So anyways, I am back and ready to blog!

One of our crazy life bumps was good ole Irene the hurricane.. The hubs and I sat plastered in front of the TV for a few days watching The Weather Channel.. Every time the name of the city in which we live appeared on the screen my eye's got bigger and more "O dears" came out of my mouth! I have never experienced a weather situation of this type. I am use to the occasional thunderstorm but a HURRICANE... Oh no no no! The hubs was being the grown up and deciding what we should.. You see, we were suppose to go on vacation the following week to Boston... Yes, right where Irene was headed.. That's where the decision became difficult.. If we leave then we say goodbye to our Boston vacation.. If we stay we could be blown away.. EEEEEEKKKKKSSSSS! At 1:30 AM the hubs finally made the call.. We were leaving a 6 AM.. As soon as he informed me of the decision I felt I had to pack. In pure "if everything was gone when we come back" mode, I packed TONS of stuff! I like to look at it as cautious packing instead of panicking packing.. Needless to say, our car was packed full. O and I forgot to mention we have two cats that we had to pack as well. Yes, they more than hated us on that day.

Here is my hubs being his goofy self.. Fuzzi voiced her opinion at some points throughout our ride.. The hubs solution.. Using my shooting ear muffs..

After 8 long hours we made it to my parents house safe and a little crazy!

Me, Myself, and I

I haven't been posting anything because life has been a little boring since the Orlando trip. My husband as been away at training so it just been me and the cats. Thank goodness I have them to make me laugh! I do have one funny happening.....

I decided I was going to go lay out at our community pool.. I lotioned up and packed my pool bag. I got to the gate a pulled like I was going somewhere.. The gate was locked! Who locked the gate?!? How am I suppose to get in?? The previous pool visits have gone by with no problems.. I walked my confused and frustrated self write back home. I sat for a minute trying to think of what I was going to do. I decided I would call our rental agent to see if something had changed. They politely said no and gave me the number for the person responsible for the pool. I called them and she tells me that I should have a key... I began digging through our "junk" drawers in search for this key. No luck.... My mind is racing.. Then it hits me... Whenever you cant find something always check your purses! Eureka!! I found the pool key that I didn't know I had in my favorite coach purse. I marched my happy self back down to the pool and enjoyed every second of the sun.

If you have one of these hanging out in your closet it may be full of lost things!

Hello Orlando!

I am blessed with amazing parents who invited me to go on a trip to Universal Studios while my husband did some manly Marine stuff. It was nice to get away since things here have been slightly stressful. I have not been to Orlando in a long time.. Things have definitely changed at Universal Studios! The Harry Potter exhibit was amazing! My husband is a huge Harry Potter fan so I have become a secret Harry Potter fan. It kind of scared me when I knew about some of the things at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.. At the same time I was kind of impressed with myself. Unfortunately my husband was not there to be impressed with my Harry Potter knowledge. My poor mom and dad had no clue about the significance of most of the Harry Potter attractions. They were awesome though! They braved the crowds and waited in line for what totaled to be hours without a complaint! Way to hang in there mom and dad. I love them! Here are some photos from our adventure.

These are from dinner at The Palms our first night there.

Then comes the Ellen Degeneres pic! My mom and I both love her show so we took the opportunity to pretend we were at her show. Let me explain so I dont sound crazy... Ellen takes her show to Universal Studios once a year. This is the exact stage where she tapes her show! Very exciting for my mom and I!

The next day we ventured on over to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. It was amazing and I cant wait to go with Ricky! He will love it.

The last ones are of our last night there. We were all three exausted from the crazy heat!

So thankful I had the opportunity to go and for my husband talking me into it!

Until next post...

The beginging to an endless blog...

I am starting this blog journey off with some pics from two races my husband ran. They are both amazing accomplishments! He began running only 3 months ago and has been running full force since. I am definitely not a runner but, I think I make a pretty good cheerleader. I am one proud wife!!
These first photos are from The Marine Corp Half Marathon...

A nice sweaty hug! I love his hugs even when there sweaty hugs!
Ricky's first half marathon was a complete success!!
The photos below are from the Scenic City Trail Marathon in my hometown of Chattanooga, TN...

My Love showing off the smiley face on his calf.
I failed on taking photos at this marathon.... Boo on me.... Ricky finished in awesome time and is ready to take on another one. I will be there again to cheer him on even though they are always SO EARLY IN THE MORNING!!
